Dr Ruyan (Ru) Chen

I grew up in New Zealand and completed my medical degree at the University of Auckland. Since then, I have worked at various metropolitan and regional hospitals across Victoria, NSW and South Australia. I now call Melbourne home and enjoy providing care that is kind, supportive and tailored to each individual.

Special interests:
Chronic disease management, skin medicine, women’s and sexual health, and weight management.

I also enjoy performing minor procedures such as skin lesion removal, Implanon insertion and ear syringing, and I have completed a Professional Certificate of Dermoscopy.
However what I value most about general practice is the opportunity to meet and care for people from all walks of life! I can also speak Mandarin.

In my spare time I like trying new sports, music and dancing, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family. I love cooking and hosting whenever I get the chance.
