About Us
Andrew Place Clinic has been serving the Bundoora community since the late 1970s, when it was established as a family medical practice by Dr. Neil Sist. Over the decades, the clinic has supported families across generations, some returning for four generations of care. We expanded our service to meet the needs of our community to Mill Park in 2022.
We are an association of independent General Practitioners consulting from two locations: Bundoora and Mill Park. The clinic is owned and operated by six practicing GPs: Dr Eric Tay, Dr Christina Illing, Dr Lisa Mifsud, Dr Melanie Hemsley, Dr Melissa Cairns, and Dr Tristan Barnes.
Excellence in Training and Education
Andrew Place Clinic is highly regarded as a GP registrar training practice, with over 30 years’ experience in developing skilled, confident general practitioners. Many of our current doctors trained here and chose to return to continue their careers with us. We also provide a rich learning environment for medical students visiting from the University of Melbourne, fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Our Team
Our care extends beyond doctors. We employ a team of seven experienced General Practice nurses, led by Nurse Manager Jo and Assistant Nurse Manager Niamh, who provide expert nursing support and complementary care to patients.
Supporting both our clinical and nursing teams is a dedicated reception and administration team, led by Practice Managers Cara and Georgia across our two locations. Their friendly and capable service ensures the smooth running of the clinic for patients and staff alike.

Our doctors offer a wide range of services, supported by close working relationships with nearby specialists, psychologists, radiology, and pathology services, many of which are conveniently located on-site or nearby.
