Weight Loss Management Service
Achieving and maintaining a health weight is a struggle for many.
The doctors at Andrew Place are keen to work with you to develop a weight loss method that best suits your needs and lifestyle, this approach will include advice about diet and exercise and may also involve the use of prescription based weight loss medications.
It is important to know that creating an individualised plan takes time and care and as such these appointments will focus only on weight loss and those conditions directly related to this – other health concerns or requests (including prescriptions or referrals for unrelated conditions) will require a separate appointment.
Initial consultations will be booked as a 30min appointment with a fee of $208 Monday – Friday and $225 on Saturdays (your medicate rebate will be $82.90). Patients who are new to Andrew Place Clinic will also be required to attend a 15 minute appointment with our clinic nurse prior to their medical appointment. This enables us to gather information about your past medical history. Ongoing appointment length may vary and you may also be eligible for a Chronic Disease Care Plan as part of your management, this will be bulk billed. Part of your assessment will include a Body Composition Measurement. This gives us further information about muscle and bone mass as well as metabolic age and is another way we can evaluate your success. Currently this is located at our new Mill Park Clinic, your doctor will discuss how to arrange this at your first appointment.
At your review appointments you will be assessed on your progress and medications may be added and adjusted. Review appointments will either be charged at $109 for 15min ($119 on weekends), or $199 for 30mins depending on the time required.
